Prior to Surgery Bowel Instructions
For your upcoming surgery the following prep must be followed:
- Day before surgery a light diet, preferably clear liquids.
- The night before surgery please take 1/2 bottle of magnesium citrate
- If no results within an hour, take remaining 1/2 of bottle
- magnesium citrate can be found in any drug store over the counter
After ESWL Follow Up Instructions
Please call our office at 203-853-4200 Option #2 after your ESWL procedure to make a 2-3 week follow-up appointment (the doctor will tell you when to follow up).
When making appointment please state which doctor you prefer to follow-up with – the doctor who did the procedure or the doctor you regularly see here.
Please take one of the attached order forms to either:

- Advanced Radiology (Download Order Form)
2 – 3 days before your scheduled follow-up appointment
If they give you a disc of the x-ray please bring with you day of your follow-up appointment (we do not need them prior to appointment).
Post Op Expectations
